Swim Lessons

Davey is in swim lessons now. Hard to believe for Dave and me. It was weird walking our little boy to a class with an instructor! Watching his skinny little body sitting on the side of the big pool just made me smile. And he had such big boy behavior. The class was chaos a lot of the time...a handful of boys kept splashing and jumping around like spider monkeys. Davey rose above it completely. He never engaged the craziness or even laughed at it. I was so proud of his focus and attention. But when it came to following directions...wellll, we need to work on 'doing' instead of telling the teacher every story he's eager to share. So hopefully next class, he'll put his face in the water, try leaning his head back and kick his feet when she asks. Overall, he made Dave and me burst with pride. I wanted to yell 'that's my son right there! The one who's not doing much of anything the teacher asks...but look at him, isn't he the sweetest little person you've ever seen!"
