Day-Day, the Saturday Helper

Labor Day weekend was a 3-day weekend for daddy.   Instead of being relaxing, it was quite busy, but still enjoyable.   To start the weekend, the Toyota dealer called me to tell me that the dashboard and other recalled parts were in, and wanted to fix the car when I could come in, first chance was Saturday morning.   So I woke up at 6am, and Davey got up and asked if he could come with, why not?   We dropped the car off, and walked next door to Bob Evans...below are pics of the giant goof I shared my breakfast with.

After breakfast we took a long walk through Delaware, looked at some old trains, and then mommy and Oakley came and picked us up.   It was time for Oakley's first Kids Workshop at Home Depot.
Mommy was dressed all nice, and she still helped he boys build.  She is the best "boy" mom you will find.

Our boys did a hell of a job building, painting.... meh.  But they are cute as hell doing it.

Next, we decided the day was ours, the car wasnt ready, so we drove to Utica to go to Legend Hills to pick Honeycrisp apples.   So they didnt have ladders out there, and they frown at using the apple picker thingies.   However, when you are armed with a lightweight apple picking pro, you put her to work :)

Finally, the boys got to go in the back and see how apple cider was made and bottled.   Davey even bottled the one we took home!   How cool is that?!!

It was a great, fun-filled Saturday.   I got my car back, and it has a funky smell from the new dashboard that I swear will never get out of the car, and the fuse was blown too when I got the car back.   But again, the day was fun!
