Davey tried yogurt for the first time... and it's a big hit! It's a plain whole milk yogurt that's made in Austin (yea for local foods). Right now we're just eating it plain or with baby oatmeal, but just as soon as I puree the frozen fruits sitting in my freezer... we'll jazz up the yogurt with some blueberries, raspberries and strawberries and mangos. It's day two that he's had yogurt for breakfast and so for, no signs of any allergic reaction... so hopefully it's all good. We still haven't tried meats. I checked out the pre-made ready-to-eat baby foods with meat in them at the grocery store and wasn't really thrilled with the ingredients... but I'm a little apprehensive about pureeing meat myself. It makes me want to gag. I'm nowhere near being a vegetarian... just ask my hubby, I lived off red meat when I was pregnant... it's still my favorite. But the thought of turning meat into liquid and feeding it to my boy makes me want to vom. But obviously I need to get over this apprehension for the sake of my son's nutrition. I'm still debating what I'm going to do... buy canned baby food meat or liquefy Bevo? Moms have tough decisions to make.
Oh SICK. Baby food meat has the be the worst thing ever. I'm with you, I think I would puke if I had to make my own....maybe better go with the canned stuff. It's worked for everyone else, right? ;)
