In the sandbox
I must've said 35 times to keep the sand in the box and to not pour it on the deck. Davey gets a B- for following directions. Oakley gets an F.

Bedtime books
On NiNi's last night, the boys got her to read about 30 bedtime books. Not really...but she read a lot! She'd finish one book and Oakley would run and grab another and Davey would grab another. And of course they did this over and over until I mommy-vened and said 'Bedtime!'

Playing at the park
It was HOT today....finally reached 80 degrees for the first time this year. Of course I'm happy and appreciating the heat. Davey started complaining about it after the park and I shut that down real quick. We don't complain about the heat in Ohio in my presence. We just don't. We thank God for it and we remember what it's like in January. Nope...ain't nothing wrong with sweating in July!

Happy 4th!
We had a full day celebrating America's birthday. ...starting with a walk to Sunbury square to watch the parade.

Playing catch
This is one of their favorite warm weather things to do...play in the driveway. I love it too because they get to act like total boys. No worries (relatively less worries I should say) about staying clean or staying quiet. Enthusiastically they get a little wild...ending up really dirty and really loud. This is one of the more calm activities they've done...playing catch with a semi-deflated basketball. Other times they throw their giant foam frisbee around which usually lands in a tree or a neighbor's yard. Or they splash in the gutter water by the street (I watch closely for cars). Or they make up a silly game that requires heaps of dirt, some random toys, a perplexing objective nobody understands except Davey Tre, and tons of laughing. And they can do all this for Hours. The only way to get them inside is to bribe them with food.
Go Sandy Go!
Aside from seeing the lobsters and the fish tanks at Meijer....this is still Oak's favorite thing to do here!
