He LOVES 1st grade!

Thumb war and waiting for waffles

My 3 guys dragged me reluctantly to Waffle House for Sunday dinner. While we waited for our cheap greasy food (which was moderately yummy too) the boys played a few rounds of thumb war. Davey says daddy cheated and used his fingers AND thumb to win.

"Push us again!"

The boys love to pretend this is their spaceship and I'm the rocket booster that pushes them through room to room. They have a blast and I almost pass out. Good fun! My laundry basket has long been a fave toy.

They're Finding Dory

Going to the movies was one of my faaaaavorite things to do as a kid. For me, coming here with them and their NiNi felt fun and magical all over again. Oaks is eating an apple that we hid and smuggled into the theater.

Childhood summer

With so many young kids living on our street.. this summer has been packed full of backyard playdates and hot dog cookouts with neighborhood friends. Our boys have spent most of their summer running barefoot outside with tanned skin. Some of the best times of childhood!

Grocery shopping with Noni and PaPa

We picked up Noni and PaPa at the airport and made a quick stop by Kroger. Something tells me the boys will have them in the toy section in no time!

Soccer & Grampa

Grampa got to watch his practice and his soccer game. He almost scored a goal...yay! He's proud Coach gave him a medal for courage and sportsmanship.

"Grampa, read us 800 books!" Luckily for Pop I negotiated the boys down to just two bedtime books.

Having a mooo-rvelous time

Boys are sitting on a pretend cow while we wait for some ice cream at Young's Jersey Dairy near Yellow Springs, OH.

Cake pops are yummy

Took the boys to the farmer's market tonight and we enjoyed locally grown fresh fruit, homemade artisan bread, and of course their sweet tooth(s) beckoned. So here's little man enjoying a sprinkle cake pop. He finished off Davey's too.

Low grade fever

Kayaking on the lake

Indian Lake, about an hour away from our house, is beautiful and fun! Loved kayaking with the boys!

Camping and mini golf

Went putt putting with our babes on our camping trip. It's a tradition now...when we camp or stay at a lake we always end up putt putting. Fun!

Happy 6th birthday!

Where did our baby go?? He's morphing into a big boy with gobs of personality and important thoughts. I miss that little boy sometimes but I'm so interested in who he's becoming and how he sees the world. Son, I can't imagine you could ever know how infinite my adoration is for you.
