Does blowing bubbles ever get old? Nope.

This makes me happy
Don't know why but my boys' little blue and green rain boots make me smile and give me big warm fuzzies all over. I love their ages right now...they're these two young silly adventurers who appreciate a colorful rain boot and especially enjoy jumping into puddles.

Scooter wipe out
This is what happens when a brave little boy tries a cool trick on his scooter. Wipeout! Yep we took a trip to the urgent care to check his elbow and head. I was positive that his elbow was broken. He had a gnarly protruding quarter-sized bump under his arm that felt rock hard like a bone out of place. His helmet was scratched and scraped where it hit the sidewalk and clearly his face took some of the impact too. Luckily no broken bones and no concussion. Just ugly abrasions and contusions, as the doctor put it. She must've said 25 times how important a helmet is and that he needs to wear it every time he rides. She said he would've been in much worse shape had he not been wearing it. Between he and I, I was the bigger wuss. I nearly passed out when I saw his elbow after the fall! I seriously nearly fainted at the sight of what I thought was my son's bone nearly sticking through his skin. Nearly fainted. My helpful, calm, reassuring neighbors (4 of them!) jumped up to help us offering to drive us to the doctor, watch Oakley for me, follow behind us, Bev just wrapped her arms around my waist to keep me from hitting the concrete! I pulled it together after a few long deep breaths, for the sake of my poor boy who needed me to be a little tougher than that! He was fantastic at the doc office. When we were leaving, they handed him a coupon for free ice cream scoop at Whit's and he started jumping up and down and yelling excitedly and flailing his arms up high. The nurse looked at me over the top of her glasses like "um, he's FINE mom!" LOL

Well happy Monday
It's we being silly by a tree. We were playing on a playground and stopped to chill under an Oak tree...so appropriate, after all!
